TOPIC: Configuring YDL.net

This guide details the ways you can configure YDL.net for your system.

First Boot Module
As part of the First Boot of a graphically installed system, YDL.net may be configured.

Public Mirrors Available:

  • If your distribution allows the use of public mirrors, the entering of a YDL.net username and password will be optional, enabled by clicking the "Use YDL.net" checkbox.
  • If this option is selected, and no username or password is entered, you will be prompted for them, but given the option to skip this configuration.
Public Mirrors Unavailable:
  • If public mirrors are not available, only the username and password fields are enabled.
  • If no username or password is entered, you will be prompted for them, but given the option to skip this configuration.

Standalone App
YDL.net can be configured after a text based installation, or reconfigured on an already installed system.

  • You may configure YDL.net at any time after installation by selecting: System -> Administration -> YDL.net
  • A window is presented which follows the same layout as the First Boot module.
