Introduction
A simple edit to the xorg.xonf file will enable 2D acceleration on Apple Powerbooks.

- Open /etc/X11/xorg.conf using the text editor of your choice. For example, to open the file using vim, type:
vim /etc/X11/xorg.conf
- Change Driver "fbdev" to Driver "radeon".
- Restart X by typing:
restart x
