- What model computer do you have?
- How many drives do you have installed/connected?
- What type (IDE, SCSI, USB, FireWire) and size drives do you have?
- On which drive are you attempting to install YDL?
- Did you allocate the recommended size for each partition?
1 MB (hfs) for boot

- Do you have enough drive space?
- What other operating systems do you have installed? (9.x, 10.x, other Linux distros?)
- What tool did you use to create the Linux partitions:
a) Did you create the major (HFS/HFS+, unallocated) partitions with Drive Setup?
b) Did you use Drive Setup to create the boot, swap, and root partitions? (this is a bad thing); or
c) Did you use the Installer to create the boot, swap, and root partitions? (this is a good thing)
